Fortunately, with your business and that of your referrals of family and friends, we are financially strong and in the mortgage business for the long haul. Emery has always done the highest quality of loans which are A and A+ paper. Emery did very few Sub-Prime loans which are the major source of problems in the industry and has shut down some lenders in our industry. We have done over 48,000 loans since 1993 and less than 200 were originated as Sub-Prime Loans.
As the market adjusts, now is a great time to review your long term plans and possibly move into a longer term loan. For those friends and family that might be in process with lenders and brokers that are in trouble, and don’t know it. Many won’t get their loans closed. Their loans will either be denied due to guideline changes or the brokers/lenders may go out of business before they can fund their loans.
